Speaker is able to give one-word or short-phrase response to the 5W1H questions. Speaker may not fully comprehend all question and thus respond to an unrelated topic.

Speaker is able to communicate basic ideas within limited contexts, but is unable to sufficiently support an opinion or statement. The majority of speakers responses contain habitual grammatical, vocabulary and/or pronunciation errors.

Speaker is able to communicate basic ideas across a wide range of general conversational topics. Speaker is occasionally able to provide some elaboration, but responses still contain frequent grammatical, vocabulary and/or pronunciation errors.

Speaker is able to express general ideas successfully but with limited elaboration. Speakers may lack the vocabulary and complex grammatical structures necessary to deliver in-depth responses with accuracy.

Speaker is highly intellgible and able to express ideas and elaborate on responses effectively. Speaker may occasionally use imprecise vocabulary, grammar and/or pronunciation, but these errors do not hinder general comprehensibility.

Speakers proficiency approaches the native level. Speaker delivers well-developed responses and explanations. At the advanced level, the speakers use of imprecise vocabulary, grammar and/or pronunciation is rare and negligible.

Speakers proficiency equivalent to that of a native speaker. Speaker demonstrates complete control of language and freedom of expression.
